The first grader turned this in at school.  Are you kidding me?? 

This is a direct result of poor family planning.  Our four kids are all four years apart - we usually have one in every category.  When this was submitted for teacher amusement and review, we had an elementary kid, a middle school kid, a high schooler, and yes, a college freshman!

At least the first grader got the college school colors right.  

The six year old played "water pong" (yes, water in the red solos) with his collegiate big brother.  It's a fun game - we played as a family.  He was actually recording a sweet family memory that then also became a hilarious teacher/school memory. 

Many kids do write/draw things like this - and many adults freak the shit out.  But when you think about it, every once in awhile it's really cool to get a glimpse into how the littles perceive our world.  Even if it is embarrassing, or sheds shady light on the goings on in your family.

So, no, we didn't play beer pong with our first grader.  He'd suck at it anyway.  He'd learn pretty fast how gross beer tastes at an age when your taste buds only respond to sugar topped with sugar spread on sugar.

But we do have a lot of fun playing water pong - and that kid is going to kill it at the fair and bring home a dozen about-to-die goldfish this summer.
